The global radical right is ascendant. How did it happen, and what can be done to understand and resist this world historical force? Two leading scholars of International Relations, and co-authors of the new book, World of the Right, join the Centre for Security Research and the International Relations Research Group to discuss.
Rita Abrahamsen (University of Ottawa and Michael C. Williams (University of Ottawa) will present key arguments from the book, its implications for recent developments, and where our efforts to understand and resist the global radical right must go next. Discussion, Q&A, and reception to follow.
Andy Hom (University of Edinburgh) will join as a discussant.
The event will be followed by a reception, also in the Violet Laidlaw Room, which attendees are welcome to join (16:30 - 18:00).
